I don't know if it's because there are more designers in Canada that read this blog or what, but there were significantly more CANADA design submissions than USA. It would have been nice to see an even amount of submissions for each side, but when I closed the doors here for a little while, there wasn't much of a chance for people to keep submitting.
Anyway...
There are a lot of talented designers out there and I'm very happy with the quality of work that was submitted.
The Winter Classic is just about upon us, and since that's the day the winner is picked, I figured I'd get the voting started now!
Here's how it's gonna shake out:
The voting for Canada begins today, followed by USA tomorrow. The voting will be open until December 31st (Winter Classic Eve). That's the voting period which will decide the best Canadian and USA design.
I will then pit the best Canadian design against the best USA design at the opening puck drop of the Winter Classic. When the final buzzer sounds, the team with the most votes wins the contest!
To view all the CANADA entries, click here.
Take a look at them all, then come back here and vote in the poll that is located in the right sidebar.

With so many options, I can only wonder what the results are going to look like.

There will be two or three that pull away from the pack. That's my guess.

Is there one winner for Canada or will it be a winner per region? I think the latter is better.

I will not be doing any voting per region because of the way the contest fell off a cliff once I decided to close doors here for a while.
If there were more entries per region (and this is especially true for the limited amount of USA entries), I'd have done the voting by region.
SO... The winner for Canada goes to "the finals" on Jan. 1st.
