Last Minute Leafs Concepts

We're coming down to the final week of submissions for the Original Six: Maple Leafs Re-branding Competition. I'm kinda surprised at the amount of designs I have gotten so far!

Again, I'm gonna let the people in the comments section lead the discussion. That seems to be the most fun.

First we have Chad B. Stilson's entry. Chad had the winning design in the Anaheim Ducks Re-branding competition and I expect him to get a lot of votes for this contest as well.

And here's Patrick Bouchard's entry.

I really like the socks and arm stripes on Chad's submission, I'm just confused why the logo needs a leaf inside of a leaf. For Patrick's jersey I like the idea of the leaf on the sleeve, I'm just not sure if I like the way the colors are used for it.

I think the leaf inside the leaf works for the home and away Chad made because the big leaf kind of serves as a background and the small leaf balances out the text. But for the third, the inner leaf doesn't add anything to it. In fact, it detracts from it. It's a great looking third and would look a lot better with just the big blue leaf.

I'm not crazy about the big wordmark on the first jersey, but it doesn't look too bad. The jersey itself looks great.

I'm wondering, though, would the third be a home third, or an away third. I don't know if it's dark enough to be worn against a white jersey.

I rarely comment, but I am on this site EVERYDAY I have to say the submissions I see everyday blow me away. This competition has been just like all the others, everyone does a fantastic job. Keep it up everyone!

First one i bleive is too comic book esk....

But one the second entry is the buildings supposed to be shaped like something or just randomly shaped cuz if you could form that first building into an M. The tower is the T then the M and you already got L

the logo is the CN tower and buildings shaped like a TML.
and that's not randomly shaped.

The first jersey looks too much like a cheap knock off T shirt you would get at a Walmart or Zellers.
