UPDATE: The competition is over. The winner of the NHL Expansion Design Competition was Andy Hall with his Las Vegas Kings concept. You can purchase Andy's concept jersey from our great sponsor, RinkGear.com!
This is the official rules and information page for the NHL Expansion Design Competition.
This design competition is based on a fictional NHL expansion, where four teams will be added to the league:
1. Quebec
2. Hartford
3. Kansas City
4. Las Vegas
Your task is to pick one of these four cities, come up with a team name, and then create a primary and secondary logo. You'll also be tasked with creating a jersey/uniform design.
You are free to use "Nordiques," "Whalers," "Scouts" as team names, HOWEVER, you may NOT use any pre-existing logos of those teams.
After all of the designs are submitted, a vote will be held to find the best design for each city. The best design for each city will then be part of the "Final Four" voting. The winner of the "Final Four" voting wins the grand prize, provided by RinkGear.com. (Full RinkGear prize details will be posted a.s.a.p.)
