He doesn't really specialize in sports logos per se, but he is an EXCELLENT illustrator and his lessons really carry over to what we enjoy over here. An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

This trick looks easier for me. And the result is good. But the processes is more than usual.
